The lodge is an intimate venue, with just 20 rooms and suites, glass cabins and two houses named after places on the Rogue. The rooms offer high levels of comfort and individuality, each looking over the river from either a private patio or balcony and many boasting fireplaces and outdoor hot tubs.

Low-key, lovely, and far from—well, everything—the Tu Tu’ Tun Lodge has idled peacefully on the placid banks of Oregon’s Rogue River since the 1970s. Just three and a half miles from Siskiyou National Forest, this green resort, blanketed by a lush, velvety lawn and bordered by evergreens, is the perfect antidote to one too many days spent pounding the concrete. Though there are plenty of opportunities for fishing, golfing, and hiking—we love the two-boot (semi-intense, on a scale of one to three) trek to nearby Cape Sebastian, where the vista captures Crescent City California, over 50 miles away—the resort also cheekily advertises a “Do Nothing” activity, where all you need is an Adirondack chair and a beer. Needless to say, this one’s our favorite.

At Tu Tu’ Tun, dining isn’t just a meal—it’s an adventure. Executive Chef Derek Piva pulls flavors from our garden and the bounty of local purveyors, hunters and farmers. Utilizing his international experience spanning Brazil, New Zealand, Los Angeles, and New York, chef coaxes thought-provoking flavors, with live fire, from the best local ingredients, complementing our deep Oregon and French wine list focused on Northern Rhone and Burgundian varietals.
